Our 1st Annual Wild Game Cook-off was a huge success. With the proceeds that were raised TAFR made their first charitable donation to The 100 Club of Houston in the amount of $6,500.00. |

| Texas Association of First Responders hosted a fund raiser on August 29, 2008 for Houston Police Officer Joe Pyland, who was injured in the line of duty on the Katy Freeway service road at Hwy 6 on Sunday, June 29, 2008. This was a very successful event; thus resulting in being able to present Officer Joe Pyland with a check in the amount of $16,002.11. |
